Classic Glass

The Shields is an American trailerable sailboat that was designed in 1962 by Olin Stephens, of Sparkman & Stephens, as a one design racer. The design was commissioned by Cornelius Shields as a fiberglass replacement for the International One Design. A total of 259 boats have been produced. Our custom digital boat art of the Shields captures the hull's raked stem, sharply raised angled transom, keel-mounted rudder, and fixed modified long keel.
