Upload one or more photos of your boat, so we can match the colors and configuration in your print. We'll ask you for the boat name, model, build year, and anything else you'd like to add to make your print special. We can add burgees, logos, crew signatures, and custom graphics to any print.

We illustrate your boat, design your print, and send you a proof.
We'll create a detailed illustration of your boat, expertly apply your personalization choices and custom graphics, and provide you with a high-resolution digital proof for your review and approval. With unlimited revisions, we'll keep working until your print is just the way you want it.
Step 3
We make any changes you'd like and then print, frame, and deliver.
We'll professionally produce your print on archival, acid-free matte paper stock for sharp details and brilliant colors. Then, we'll frame it in one of our ready-to-hang gallery frames, box it up, and ship it directly to any doorstep.

Flush Deck
Much like a traditional half hull model, our Flush Deck print style includes everything below the sheerline. This means you won't see on-deck features like the center console, pilot house, deck chairs, mast, stanchions, or cleats in your print. Your print will be a celebration of lines rather than features.
With Deck Details
Our With Deck Details print style includes everything below and above the sheerline. Your print will include all of the on-deck features like the cabin, mast, stanchions, and pulpits for the most complete illustration of your boat from stem to stern.
Standard or Premium Gallery Frames
Standard Frame
Our standard frame features a solid wood moulding with a clear, lightweight acrylic glazing. Your print is placed within the frame (not permanently mounted) and held securely in place, behind the glazing, with a rigid backing board and metal retaining clips, allowing the artwork to be displayed cleanly without adhesives or mounting materials. The frame arrives with a sawtooth hanger included in the package. To install, all you'll need is a light tap with a hammer.

Premium Gallery Frame (Available in the USA)
Available for shipping to US destinations, our premium gallery frame is handcrafted using museum-quality materials and professional framing techniques. Each frame features a solid wood moulding, heavy-gauge UV-protective acrylic glazing, archival mounting board, and a sealed paper backing to keep out the elements. The artwork is dry-mounted to protect against moisture over time. The frame arrives with installed hanging hardware and wall bumpers. The 18×12 framed print features an acid-free white mat. The larger 36×24 size is designed without a mat for a bold, contemporary edge-to-edge presentation.

The photo of your hull is the most important part of your order. Please follow the guidelines below, so we can represent your yacht authentically.
Take a photo or choose an existing photo that is taken in daylight.
Use a smartphone or high quality camera.
Be sure the photo of your boat is taken from the side and includes as much of the keel and rudder as possible.
Do not use filters on the photos, so that we can be sure we see the correct paint colors.
A Flush Deck half hull print includes everything from the sheerline down. Much like a tradtiional half hull mode, a Flush Deck won't include the cabin top, pilot house, winches, mast, stanchions, cleats, etc. To add those details, and for the most complete illustration of your boat, choose With Deck Details.
Yes. Typically within 3 business days, you will receive an email asking you to review and approve your proof. We give you 24 hours to approve or request changes. After 24 hours have passed, we proceed to printing to ensure a speedy delivery.
In many cases we can find a complete set of lines from our archive or online and proceed with your order. Place your order with the best photo you can find, and we will take it from there. If for some reason we get stumped, we'll refund your order immediately with our apologies. Or, we'll create a print down to the waterline. The choice is yours.
Depending on your order, multiple items could ship separately. Framed prints need to ship individually, however prints can often be bundled together. We do our best to minimize shipping costs.
The custom art fee covers our cost to produce the custom art for your print. The fee is automatically added to cart when you order a print. This is a one-time fee per boat. These means you can order more than one print without being charged again for the artwork.
Yes. If you've ordered with us before, we can reprint your order. We save all of the artwork we produce. We'll simply need your original order number to track it down. And, you guessed it, we won't need to charge you for the custom art. If you're interested in a reprint, email us at mike@dogwatchart.com to get the ball rolling.
